Ann Wilson has been involved in Denver’s legal community for more than 10 years. Positions held have included those in private law firms (ranging from 8 attorneys to 220 attorneys) and a brief stint on the vendor side of the business. Her responsibilities have included everything from administration, recruiting, attorney professional development, benefit administration, operations and facilities management and overall HR duties.
Prior to her 10 years in the legal industry, Ann spent more than 6 years in a corporate setting. During her career and through all of her positions, human resource management, recruiting staff and professionals, and facilities administration have been an integral part of her role within each organization. A graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Marketing Education, Ann seeks innovative and effective methods of solving problems and building strong teams while maintaining a sense of humor.
Ann enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, camping, and all activities outdoors – summer or winter. She is a tri-athlete having completed 7 sprint distance races to date. She has two teenage children who continually keep life in perspective while providing a source of constant entertainment.
Ann is a long time member of the ALA community. Her first affiliation began in 1997 as a member of the local chapter. In 2000, she was asked to Chair the Publicity committee (which has since been reorganized). During her tenure with Special Counsel, Ann remained involved in ALA through vendor partnering programs such as the vendor fair and annual retreat. In 2004, Ann accepted the Co-Chair of the Education Committee position, which she held for two years. Upon returning to active membership in 2006, she joined both the Education and Professional Development Committees. In addition to Ann’s involvement in ALA, she is an active member of the Denver Area Legal Recruitment Association.
