Sharon Miller has been the Human Resources Manager and Financial Administrator at Fairfield and Woods, P.C. since February 2001. Prior to embarking on her career in the legal industry, she was the administrator of a private school for many years, and later worked in a small local corporation as general manager. Her Firm Administrator encouraged her to join ALA and the Mile High Chapter, which she finally did in February 2004. Since joining, she has served on the Awards Submission Committee and on the Community Challenge Committee, where she has assisted with Golf Tournaments and holiday parties to benefit Denver CASA. Currently, she serves as the Treasurer and co-chairs the Survey Committee with Mickie McNeeley. Sharon finds extraordinary congeniality and cooperation among legal administrators in the Chapter, and thoroughly enjoys all of her volunteer experiences. The resources that ALA provides are invaluable to her work and professional development.
Sharon is a Colorado native, though with a father in the Air Force, she grew up in many places. She met and married her husband of 34 years while a student at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Her son is the Assistant Local Editor at The Greeley Tribune and her stepdaughter is the mother of five-year old triplets. Sharon loves being a grandmother and spends as much time as possible with her granddaughters, having quickly learned that grandchildren grow up much faster than one’s own children! Sharon is an avid knitting enthusiast, and has taught several others to knit, including members of the staff at her firm.
